Born to be...what?

Born to be...what?

Some will post mail,
some belong to the law,
some yearn to be a doctor,
and some work with a giant saw.

Yet others want to make a difference,
so they choose to be a teacher,
or donate to charity,
and some will end up a preacher.

But some have a political taste,
and want to be a senator,
or rule the country as president,
but you can't be sure you won't end up as a janitor.

Some have a musical sound,
and become singers,
or love to do opera,
or are piano playing fast fingers.

Who you will be is your choice,
but choose with great care,
because the job you choose,
will give you a certain fare!

Good poem. We can decide what our destiny will be. There are so many choices. If we try and don't suceed at one professional we can change it. Life is full of choices.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
