Can't Always Depend
Can’t Always Depend
Ikendia Dixon
You can’t always depend on that one thing to always back you up,
Because when that one thing is not there they you are all out of luck,
It’s like depending on your oxygen tank if you’re a diver,
Depending on your breaks if you’re a driver,
It’s like depending on CPR skills to become a hero,
But as soon as they fail; you fell like a zero,
That’s why you can’t depend on everything you depend on…true,
So the only thing you can really depend on is you,
You control the outcome of the problem,
You’re the human calculator that can solve them,
Can’t anyone live your life besides the person that’s inside of your body,
Driving you mind crazy like it’s on a twisted road with sharp turns in the driver seat of an Audi trying to find something within the art of yourself like Gaudi,
So you can’t depend on someone that intakes the same air as you,
Same veins that the same color blood runs through,
So when you look up at the sky and it’s not blue,
Just remember you can’t always depend on anyone but you.
