    Children of the Storm
    Title: Children of the Storm

What do you attempt to say

Come out and let us play

    Tomorrow is another day

    All our families in disarray

How do you try to read

A story to a child in need

    With trembling mouths to feed

    Seeing their laughter recede

    When will the children begin

    To heal and smile again

    Their internal storms brewing

    From the hurricane within.

This is moving. Being in that hurricane was one of the most memorable experiences that I have had. GREAT poem.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
