    Come and Go

    Come And Go ©

    by Brad Osborne

As you go through your life you'll find
most things will come and go
like the weather of the seasons
the heat, the rain, and snow

The way the children you may raise
    no matter what you say
    will please and disappoint you
as they grow, and move away

A job to work, a place to live
all things in life go past
    and life turns into memories
as years go by too fast

The moments turn to hours and days
and weeks, to months and years
but life with you brings love and joy
    where once was only fears

And so my dear, as time goes past
I'd like for you to know
that I will always love you
though things may come and go.

poignant, interesting ryhmes, as well as a feeling of nostalgia in the last stanza. Nice...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
