    The day we kissed
    You stole my heart
And have it with you still

    You hold it in
    Your tender hands
    Alone you make it fill

    Alas, I’ve tried
    To take it back
    And yet to no avail

    For it to function
    Without you
Is to float without a sail

    To be afloat
    No land in sight
    Upon a lonely sea

    No place to go
    No glimpse of hope
    To wander aimlessly

    For its your breath
    that starts my heart
your breath that makes it beat

    Like none I’ve
    e’er met before
Nor one I’ve yet to meet

    You are the one
    that keeps my heart
    That makes me feel alive

    And you’re the one
    that I must have
    In order to survive.

This one goes places. Best wishes on finding/keeping your soul mate.

I Love the rhythmic meter. Almost like a chant.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
