    Cost

                                               Cost

Path taken straight cannot be narrow.

    The berth society does shovel.

Upon the soul our sacred pillow.

Lost amongst the puff and bustle.

    Always subject to the hustle.

No one cares what drives our muscle.

    Sacred challace to apostle.

Succored dry by all that's hostile.

Cannot a peacefull breath be drawn.

The kind for which we all must long.

Our fear and hate carried along.

Throughout the ages we have dawned.

Its to the power we are drawn.

Not gold or oil makes us rich.

The yelling and swating of switch.

    Imposing will a mongers niche.

Our rulers fates will stay the same.

As long as we all play the game.

Whats rite for me I can't explain.

Will do you harm and cause you pain.

To stand upon an equal ground.

One first must  stand and look around.

See neighbors hiding in their home.

Afraid at night to walk alone.

    Tomorrow will the terror strike?

Its here already in our life.

Its used upon us every day.

In everything that we don't say.

We drink down and swallow it.

Turn off the tube its spoon fed shit.

The press' freedom we all suffer.

    Just another terror buffer.

    Family life is thrust asunder.

With all the preasure we've been under.

    Paying all those doubled bills.

    Sobbing while our childrens wills.

Are more influenced by blue pills.

Than hearts that parents love has filled.

They sit alone most of the day.

Sure after school they may go play.

Who for them is there to say.

Mackenzie lets hear about your day.

    Mother staying late at work.

Father huh who cares that jerk.

So everyone can do their part.

While children's hearts are ripped apart.

We wonder why they shoot up schools.

Or turn out crack heads, dealers tools.

    Its because if noone cares.

Than why should they all put on airs.

We say we care than aren't there.

How does that make us all appear.

All for what to save a dollar.

Well that's the cost of those in power.

Thank you for joining my group of friends I pleased to have you as a friend. Real success begins with a friend and everything else in life is a bonus. If your dreams and desires are to become rich and famous and you set your goals to make this your main purpose in life, what good would it all be without friends? You should treat a friendship like a rose garden, feed it with love, kindness and understanding and watch it blossom into a beautiful rose. There is nothing more valuable than a true friend, all other successes in your life's journey mean nothing if you can't share them with a friend. LOL, BDC P.S. Let's see some of your magical creations. What I've read shows great talent, reading your poetry is a delight.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
