Dangerous Waters

Dangerous Waters

You know it's not easy
To sit
And be deep for someone so shallow
But I learn with practice

So as I tread in your shallow ocean,
My eyes swim as I feel waves of emotion,
There were so many things I wanted to say
And I only remembered them after you walked away

Like why do you call me Babe?
I know you call everyone that
But why would you treat me the same?
I think it's because you forgot halfway

How it took me forever
To gather the nerve
But I wish I knew
That we'd just swim back to the way we were.

I'm learning that going back brings Me to place that I don't care for. It's when I stay in the Day I really enjoy My life. This write is like waking Me up from a nap.Sometime I wish things were different too.Very nice write.God Bless-Blackfootlady

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
