Dark Knight

    Dark Knight

We met online it started out as a game,
we fell hard for one another, in it we had no shame.

We spent hours on the phone just getting to know each other
you filled my days, my nights, my soul, my heart, you were my lover.

You were my Knight in shining armor,
you knew exactly what to say.

And with a few simple words from you,
    I gave it all away.

I thought you really loved me, you played the game so well,
even when I caught you, deceit I couldn't smell.

You made me feel as if it were my insecurities,
That put thoughts of you being with another in my head.

But really it was your dishonesty,
that made my heart eternally bleed.

You said we were Soulmates, broken from your rib,
now I am alone and facing the ugly end.

You stole the key to my beautiful heart,
and cast it aside without a thought.

As for you there is another who can give you what you need,
or is it your own fears that made you run away in deed?

For one beautiful weekend I was the luckiest girl alive,
but since then you have destroyed the life inside.

Even when you found out seeds were planted one fateful night,
You took your friendship away without even saying goodbye.

I will rise above like I always do,
And I hope you figure out what I really meant to you.

a meanful and sad, but very nice poem.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
