    In His Eyes

    In His Eyes

In his eyes, all I see is love
could it be he was sent from above?

My heart is racing, I am pacing waiting for him to come
he shows me affection, connection, what I think is love.

He holds me close and kisses me tight
finally someone to say, Baby it's alright.

    Minutes, days, weeks pass by
I am left here wondering why?

What did I do, what did I say
to make this lover go away?

    I am hurt, very confused
I feel betrayed, taken and abused.

    Why so distant dear lover?
    Is it her, or another?

I gave you everything, my very soul
my love...did I give it too soon or were you on a roll?

    Lying, deceiving, teasing and pleasing
flying off to her then me both of us appeasing.

I hope the tears you caused have made you feel good
for she and I both apparently misunderstood...

your feelings for both of us were kept in silence
the questions I asked , I was looking for guidance.

You lied, I cried, you made me feel insecure
you said she was a friend and nothing more.

Now I sit in this desolate place
waiting, contemplating, do I continue this race?

I am so broken and so torn by your actions
but be assured you will NEVER get the satisfaction,

again to hurt me, bruise me , fake me,
for I am a Phoenix soaring free.

Ha Ha, you thought you won that game,
but this Butterfly has re-emerged from a flicker to this flame!

Now I only look to be in His eyes,
    my Lord above
for He will never take me or even forsake me
    only give His love
He will see to it that one day I will be blessed,
to find my one true love and end this lonely quest!

In His eyes I am love and I will never shed a tear
for my soulmate is galloping on his horse, oh yes he is very near!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
