    Darkness

    I'm standing in the dark
waiting for a hand to guide me
so long i have been waiting
i can feel my stubble grow long
    my joints grow week
    my hair recedes
    I'm an old man now
    whithering away in the dark
    faithfully awaiting my guide
    but you never came.
    you knew i was there
    but you let me die...
with nothing surrounding me but darkness
no one to talk to , to hold , to love
you let me die, in the dark, alone.
    with my final breath
    i see your lovely face
and one silent tear escapes me.
i was a fool to think you'd come back.
i wasted my life, waiting, hoping
    and what did i get?
i got a life worse than death
i got a life without you.

sad, and yet often so true for many.

    i really like this peom!

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
