    Dear Mother

    You gave me life
in return I gave you years of strife
    Tears were shed
But you always tucked me into bed
    and kissed my head
    Now I am grown
and have a daughter of my own
    I hope I can be
    all that you taught me
To be the mother to her
Like you have always been for me
For you are more than a mother
    You are my mommy
    I love you
    Your Daughter

Short, sincere and from the heart. As a mother myself I feel this poem alot. I hope one day my kids will have children of their own, look back and know I did my best. Wonderful piece.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
