Pen and Paper

Pen and Paper

It is this pen in my hand
that strokes this paper,
Each stroke forms a letter,
and letters join to form words,
The words join to form sentences,
which express the thoughts and feelings,
of the one who holds the pen,
The one who has experienced
both the joys and pains of life,
The source from which the life
of the words flow,
It is more more than ink upon paper,
It is the peice of the writer,
It is a creation that is formed
when the hand takes hold of the pen
to make its mark upon this world,
Pen and paper alone are nothing
but black on white,
Add the writer and you add life.
