Poem Commentary

I wrote this poem with not only my mother in mind, but using one of her most used sayings that she uses on us "Do as i say not as i do".  Being her oldest child we have been through everything from hard times to come ups and i felt a dedication and sort of translation of what she has told me and taught me was in order.  To make it also more personal i added the "of course you can go to the moon part" in a reminder of how our parents always say things like that even though they are nearly impossible, including the famous "Of course you can do this, and that, and become president, and save the world" and etc. When my mom read it i think she was surprised at how much i had been able to understand her. lol
