    Do You Remember

Do you remember that night we made love,
and saying that dont be scared just remember your words?
Do you remember how my heart raced,
and you kissed me until it came to a steady pace?

Do you remember looking into my eyes
and telling me you wont hurt me like those other guys?
    Do you remember holding me
and telling me that how real loving is suppose to be?

Do you remember holding me that night,
telling me that everything would be alright?
Do you remember me crying all night to you,
and you saying you was here and youre someone new?

Do you remember seeing the pain in my face,
and you kissing it away with each embrace?
Do you remember that night you walked out of my life,
and saying you no longer wanted me as your wife?

It's that bump in the road we all come to, eventually. Secret is don't stand there and dwell on it but drive your life to a classier neighborhood where people know a good thing when they see it. Sharp work, MsTae. The care and effort you took with this piece is obvious.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
