    Dreams

In A World Of Earthly Things,
There Can Only Be One Wedding Ring,
When We Reach The Land Of Dreams,

    In This Magical Place,
Lined With Red Ribbon And Lace,
This Is The Land Of Dreams,

    Our Little Children Plays,
As The Golden Sun Fades Away,
Only To Be Sent To TheLand Of Dreams,

    Me And You,
Will Always Know What To Do,
When We Venture Into The Land Of Dreams,

    We'll Talk And Sit Around,
As Angels Sing Sweet Joyful Sounds,
    In The Land Of Dreams,

    And When It's Time,
    To Eat And Drink Wine,
We'll Come Back To The Land Of Dreams,

We All Would Have So Much Fun,
Only To Be Awakened By The Morning Sun,
And Finally Realize Those Were Only Dreams.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
