He goes home to his wife

out of duty

to keep the status quo

over time the obligation

feels almost like love

it clears the conscience

the house is almost home

he goes through motions

he is almost present for all

but his thoughts are roaming

far away though

he finds yourself standing

at a crossroads

of his burning feelings  

versus logic mind

it seems like there is

no way out

going around in a circle -

his wedding ring

being a good husband,

but unhappy,

unfulfilled,

longing for escape

and return to himself,

trying to pretend

it is going to be ok

his body is there

but his mind is far away

on the hard dilemma

his soul dwells, dwells…
