Ever Wonder???

Ever Wonder???

Do you ever wonder what would happen if you lost a special person in your life?
What would you do?
What would you say?
Or if that person that ment the most to you suddenly changed, and acted the complete oposite as they normally do.
Would you try to get the old them back?
Or would you just let them drift away from your life?

Is there ever such a thing as saving the ones you love,
when the ones you love don't want to be saved?
If there is, then why does it never happen?
If not.. then too many people are lost too many times...
Do you ever wonder what would happen if a loved one stepped out of your life?
If you dont, then it might be time to wonder.
Because too many people are changing, too fast...

I absolutely agree with you. I know exactly what this feels like. There are two very special people in my life who i considered my brothers. One died when we were younger, in our mid 20's. I was heart hboken by his passing. The other, still alive has foe one reason or another abruptly cut off communication from me. I have no idea whether I offended him or what but what I've learned is that even though the fondness doesn't go away, the hurt of loss does. i've learned to hold people with an open palm. Those i love are free to come and go. They are always welcome and I allow emotions to flow through me like water through a sifter. They are, after all, a measure of thought to an experience that is also fleeting. Love however, is a constant

I also have had this happen, my real brother passed when I was not much younger than I am now, and I've had many friends come and go, and I've found that no matter how long they stay it never bothers me when they leave, although the loss does dull over time, I'll always love my brother.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
