    Eyes Of Darkness

    In the eyes of darkness
    I stand by thee
    webbed in silence
    you speak softly
    your words are calming
    some what fare
To hear you say how much you care
    makes time pass quicker
makes the pain easy to bear
    The beast does fight me
    but I know your there
    In the eyes of darkness
    Im slowly losing life
    Drifting away
All I hear is you voice asking me to stay
    you kisses heal me
    spare me some time
    In the eyes of darkness
    you whisper your forever mine
holding you while the days drift slowly by
It makes facing the beast easier to bear.
    In the eyes of darkness
I know you will always be there.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
