    Fantasy Man

Oh what joy he brought into my mental space, he took me to that familiar place that I rarely get the chance to go, there are only a few that can take me to that place, not very many know the location. Infact, I am the only one that knows how to get there, but I like it when they drive, I get tired of driving all the time…I have to admit the ride was nice…he told a lot of jokes and made me laugh, laughter is good for me…suddenly the car stopped!!!.... and there was a very long silence between us…I looked at him…he looked at me…I asked “what’s wrong baby” he replied “I don’t know, I think I ran out of gas.” He laughed; I didn’t….Queenprophesy/2009

Hmm, I'm not too totally sure that I understand this one. Just the ending is what throws me. What is the gas symbolic of?

its basically about meeting a man online that was not true and when the time came to manifest himself or make real the things we talked about...he ran out of gas (meaning there was nothing there)

    HUH?!?

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
