    Fatherless Child

As each day goes by I pray that it's my last as a fatherless child

Looking to God I ask the question... Why?

Rocking back and forth I pat myself on the chest hoping the feeling of being unwanted will subside

Lord, please forgive my father and when your chariot swings low I pray you let him ride

I'm writing this piece because now is the time I could use him most of all

The family is facing tremendous trials and the lost years seem way too long

To see him without concern at such a critical time makes me shed tears

Despite his absence in our lives, it's true, I love him still

Lord, bless those children that are standing in my shoes

Ease our pain, if you will, and supply us with what we need to make it through

If it's not too much to ask... will you perform a miracle for me?

Let the phone ring and when I answer I'd like to scream... Daddy!

Thanks for all you've done for me and mine

    Just an expression... ... ...

This is more than a 10 but they would not allow me to give you a ten. Anyway being an unwanted abused adopted child allows me to relate because I have never seen my biological mom or dad and siblings. We were abandoned and all adopted and separated-so when you think your story is bad there is always another story that is worse but we deal because I know that God is real. http://alejabennett.neet84.net

My kids didn't have their dad around, For personal reasons, I won't say, but I know how much they relate to you and the pain you feel, not having a dad around.. great expression, lots of emotion

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
