    FEAR

    By: Lindsey Miller Smith

    October 21, 2007

Fear me for me but not for what I long for

Fear me not but to hope
Hope makes the world look brighter
With hope you can dream a dream
Where there is hope there is the notion of promise
Knowing of such hope gives such assurance
    Hope helps make you whole

Fear me not but to desire
Desire makes you seek for happiness
Without desire there is no ambition to succeed
With desire you can grow an envious heart of want
Passion is to be desired for love
    Desire helps make you whole

Fear me not but to love
Love causes your heart to skip a beat
For love is what keeps you going free
With love you can see beyond the fearful soul
Loving without soul; is not loving at all
    Love helps make you whole

Fear me for me but not for what I thrive upon.

    Well written & contimplated!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
