    THE STORY

    THE STORY

    By: Lindsey Miller Smith

    Me nothing less nothing more
The love of two hearts has never been so strong
Letting you have my heart was in hope of trusting you
It takes a very strong couple to make the love work
The wait, the worth, the effort

For the good times and the bad
The passion and the strength between to people
The day when two hearts become one
I said I do knowing in my heart we were great
A family was made between to loving hearts

There in March a beautiful baby girl was born
Love is never easy but very painful
True love hurts but it is a pain indescribable
Distance can tear two people apart
Hearts are broken and lives are changed

You said your vows and you broke them
But in your eyes I'm not worth loving
Now those two hearts have become torn apart
A broken heart will mend because it always does
In time all wounds will be healed

There I am nothing less but yet so much more.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
