Forever Friends

I thought we would be friends forever Friends who stuck together until our dying days, but I guess you couldn't wait, couldn't stay and help me through my grief over you They say you're in a better place where no one ever suffers I call them liars because what do they know They don't know how you died in pain They all say they know what I'm going through, but how can they know what it's like to lose your forever friend I bet you're in Heaven hanging out with the angels and roaming in the clouds I bet you'll become an angel someday You were always so sweet and kind to everyone Everyone down here misses you, but not as much as me I think of all the fun we shared and our laughter and our tears I think of all the stories I have heard about how you died Only you and I know the truth That someday I will join you and we will be forever friends
