    Music In The Night

You play a song I want to hear quickly turning your ear Your music floats to my head twisting, turning, holding me here The lilting melody haunts my ears lingering, tormenting and embracing the tears I quickly turn to see your face pausing in a brief disgrace Teardrops fall to the keys hitting with a plink, plink, plink Your eyelids join to my dismay blocking out the disarray I turn to you and let my gaze wander over your ponderous daze Music blows in the night holding very, very tight
