    Forever Lonely

    All the stars have fallen from the sky;
    Each one taken by a lie.
    Lies of false "I love you's",
    When I thought your love was true.
    Now the sky is dark and grim...
    I sit in my world looking out at them:
    Looking, watching all of the "happy people".
    And that is when my tears start to fall.
    Like them, I used to feel a love so sweet;
    My life was like the sweetest treat.
    Now my life is cold and empty;
    With no meaning left for me.
    All because I lost my heart,
    Because it was yours from the start.
    Roaming around forever lonely,
    Is all that is left for me.
    My heart shall remain with you;
    Remember it's filled with a love so true.

    When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

    John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
