    Heart Bound Fate

Throughout life, our paths have crossed,
    Wondering around confused and lost.
Fate has brought you back to me,
And the whole world could see.
They could see the love in your heart,
Love that had been there from the start.
I knew only how I felt for you,
The purest love, truer than true.
    But, I never even imagined
You wanted to be more than just a friend.
Then, one day, you embarrassed me with a kiss,
Told me you loved me, filled me with bliss.
I'm forever thankful for this true love we have found.
So now, to you, my heart is forever bound.
You are my lover and my best friend,
And my heart is yours till the very end.
I'll always love you; we are together meant.
Our love is amazing and Heaven sent.
And now you have asked me to be your wife. . . .
I'll love you more each and every day for the rest of my life.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
