    FOREVER SAFE
    WISH I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE
    I wish I could’ve stopped the pain
    I wish I could’ve stopped the rain
    I wish I could’ve stopped the fist
    Reading it makes me so pissed

    I know what is done is done
    No more knife, no more gun
    I know the scars are still there
    For me to see, but it is not fair

    Nobody will ever hurt you again
    Even though I was not there then
    Now safe for the rest of your life
    Always you as long as I am alive

    You have nothing else to ever fear
    I am now with you baby, you hear?
    Protect you when you are sleep or awake
    Protect you from harm, you will never ache

    I couldn’t do it then, but today I can
    With me by your side, you will always stand
    No more pain for you, no more rain in sight
    I will keep you forever safe; day and night
