forsaken

forsaken

release you soul and be
alive, alive and free
of pain and worry. take
your place at the stake,
and burn. memories of
the past, of my love
and luxuries for you
wisper, our lies are true.
these memories eat away
at my being, yet only they
can keep me going. your
fleeting images are more
than just that, they are my
only reason not to die.
ghosts of what was once to
be, what we once thought true
no longer is. you forsake
me for what i am, a snake
in the grass. but i am
more than a black lamb
who's cast out for being
this demon.and seeing
as i cannot be,
anything else but me,
you dump me like an unwanted
child, who's haunted
nightmares makes them this
demon you see. the abyss
they call life is at its end
for me, soon i will descend
into where i truely belong.
but i will still love the strong
person who has forsaken me.
