    Fragile Heart

    Slowly falls to the ground
    As everything I've done
    Comes crumbling down

    Watch you fade
    Down that road
    As you walk away

You've stolen a piece of my heart
    Took all the soul's trust
And shot it like a dart

    Because of you
    I can't let others in
    Can't be fully true

    And it'll take a lot
To get back what you've taken
To gain back what was lost

To regain control of the hurt
    I let all these words
    Hide in the dirt

I'm done with all of it
    Now it's time to forget

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
