    Friend or Foe

    My brother has a friend
That he can’t seem to shake
He told me that he’s an old habit
    One that’s hard to break
    I cry sometimes at night
    Thinking about old times,
When it was just you and I
    Damn I envy his authority
    For having favor over me
GI Joes and mask and Robbers
Seem to be a role hard to beat
    Now it’s all about him
Times when I wish you here
But with him you would be
Seems to be no more you and me
Haven’t I’ve been the big sister you’ve always dreamed
I remember being there when you couldn’t sleep
    Headaches came and go
But I was here to stay
Making sure to wash all the pain away
Cold rags against your forehead I would place
Awaiting the time again when we could just play
Now it’s all about your next date with him
Oh I hate him so much; he goes by the name of D-Rugs

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
