    Friends and Foes

Now they have brought their street to my street
they have brought nothing but madness and matchetes
crimson coloured cries along corridors and cross-roads
Now, they have made their fight to my fight
they sharpened their teeth, given me a bit to bite
though now I sit, fear is on its feet.

Yes, they brought along their anger and danger
foes to foes we stand shoulder to shoulder
They have brought a heave of havoc and hatred
enemies dipped in dens of daunting deardevils
They have brought their home to my home
my bed is their head's pleasing pillow
my wardrobe is nothing but a passage of pain.
I stand and stare at the street
    machetes at my feet

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
