    Giving Up

Life is nothing but a slow moving death
Hurting more with each and every breath
There’s no avoiding it, no getting away
So why not give up and end this day?

I see you smile, but we both know it’s a lie,
Try to hide it, try to run, but we all die.
Why put it off, when it hurts this much
Why not give up, and slip into deaths touch?

There’s no point in trying, you can not win
Life grows to nothing but one big sin.
It will never be worth it, so don’t try to stay
Let serenity come, close your eyes and slip away.

This poem was very true. I can actually relate to what your trying to say. I liked this poem a lot because it shows what some people feel when there a problem too big to handle.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
