    God Knew

    God Knew

    When God found me,
    down and alone.
    I had no-place to
    call my home.

    Material things
    had come and gone.
The devil tried to make me believe,
    God don't love you,
    He can't set you free.

    I went to wondering,
    what I had to offer.
    I knew I had nothing,
but I ran to the altar.

    God knew I was there,
and all I had was me.
    I wasn't hiding nothing,
    everything God could see.
    I cried out to God,
    Lord,can you still use me?

    I heard my Lord say,
my child you have what I am looking for.
    My spirit inside you
is what lead you to the floor.
    I never forgot you,
    when you went astray.

    My child come home,
    Heaven's not far away......

A lovely testament to your faith. Many will hold these words close. ~Pamela

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
