Goddess Moon

Goddess Moon

You filter through the trees at the end of my day
Glowing, bright, round face lighting up the night
Ageless, timeless, always comforting
You rule the tides and my emotions

Oh Goddess Moon
Your light surrounds us
Mother Earth bathes in you

You pull me to you like a lover
I feel you flow into me
You renew my strength

The power of light and love
Flow from you
You are light
I am light

We are  harmony

LeeryRoscoe commented on Goddess Moon

I feel like this would be stronger without the first verse(?) otherwise I think it is a great piece, and somewhat reminiscent of an old gaelic poem

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
