    Gravity

    GRAVITY:

    Down on my knees,
    Trying to pray,
    The words escape me,
    Unable to rise,
    Gravities pull overtakes me,
The weight of the air closes in-
    Making it hard to breathe,
    As the air leaves me-
    Unable to pray

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
