Poem Commentary

another one from my 3rd book.

grey

Shades of grey and black and blue…

Fill my head with thoughts of death and life and...

Crazy, I have heard that before

There is no game that I haven’t played before

Makes me want to call her a whore

But what good would do?

Yesterday is a distant memory

Tomorrow is a dream gone by

I see her face as I sink into the dark abyss

Of the corners of my mind

Saying words that I have said before

When I visited those alleyways

Alone and scared of…

We never know what the future holds

And who are we to try?

Just let go of …

Her choice was made and there can be no more

Let go you are alone so head towards the light that comes from up above

My thoughts are yours and that is all we have

Till we reach the fork in the road that we have been to before

Till we make the right choice to quit walking in circles

And move forward finally up the stairs

And out of the blackness which is hiding in the corners of my mind

We don’t have to visit those places any more

We can use the tools we have always had

To not only put a hole in the wall

But to tear that bitch down

My thoughts are yours and she is just a dream gone by

Leaving an imprint on your mind

A permanent scar on the landscape

That you see as you move on down the road.
