Grief All My Life

Grief All My Life

I look away for a second,
And when I look back you're gone,
Times flown by like a bird,
Only it doesn't feel alright,
The morning sun went down,
Only since you're not here,
It wont rise like it used to,
My smiles faded high,
For another year has gone by,
Yet nothings changed,
And I wonder why.

I call for help,
And no one appears,
I start to cry,
But no one hears.

Another dacade has gone by,
I haven't smiled,
And people wonder why,
It's just not the same,
Without you here.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
