I am Ready

I am Ready

Although I feel @ a lost for words. I love to put my pen to paper.
I'd say like a year it's been that we've been dealin' or so it appears.
Y is it all so great in the early stages? Damn! yo you're gorgeous to me,I want you.
Are we dating? No,but there's a commitment,so many got damn phases.
I told myself I didn't want to be here again. Here again w/the emotional shit.
The sometimes jealousy. The "Am I the only one" bull, although there's no "commit".
Im fly and so are you. Y can't we be that together?
Do I burden you?
I see our chemistry. We're already together yet NOT together.
I only want what I'm already given : honesty, communication and you.
I'm twenty-five and I want kids soon.

I love this poem....this is exactly how I feel (minus the last line) but the rest is me in a nut shell. I love that line "We're together yet NOT together" really nice poem

interesting choice of words...they appear to come from deep in your being. Seems as though what you are clearly seeing for a future with this person, they are not nor may they ever reciprocate to you. You may find your true "soulmate" when you finally give up chasing an unrealized dream. Please don't take offense to my comment, but I have been where you are. Sometimes we want something so intensely that we forget about what is tangible and in our reach. Who knows...you and your "soulmate" may already have met and now it is up to you. Do you sit and torture yourself with someone who has no feelings that even compare to yours? Or do you take a leap of faith and quite possibly ending up in a true life fairy tale complete with the all to famous "Happily Ever After" One more tiny bit of advice...never forget that you deserve to be just as happy if not more than this oblivious, self absorbed individual that you have choosen to wait for! You can stil keep hope alive for that one, but in the mean time...I say you get out meet more people and who knows...LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT HAS BEEN KNOWN TO HAPPEN!

Thanks for readin my poem and the comment.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
