    I Cry Real Tears

    Darkness consumes my beating heart
Tearing everything in my life apart
Slowly my world seems to be caving
Causing pain to those I love the most
Nothing seems to make things change
Alone I cry to myself asking why
Why I let darkness hide my happiness
Depression takes over my entire being
Taking the sun out of my eyes
    Breaking my heart inside
Looking out at the world and I am criticized
Unable to hide my fears I cry
Afraid of what they all might say
I cry alone in the darkness of the night
No longer can I hide this pain
    So...
    I cry real tears

KEEP ON KEEPING ON THINGS WILL GET BETTER

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
