I Dreamed A Dream

I DREAMED A ~ DREAM.
IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL SPRING DAY. THE CLEAR BLUE SKY WAS SO BRIGHT IT ALMOST HURTS ONE'S EYES TO STARE. I SAT QUIETLY BENEATH A TALL STRONG OAK TREE WITHIN IT'S KIND OLD SHADE. THE FLOWING GREEN GRASS, SPREAD ITSELF AROUND ME AS IF A SHIELD FOR PROTECTION. A WARM HAND SLIDES THROUGH THE GREEEN GRASS INTO MINE AND I TURN TO LOOK AND SEE....... A FACELESS IMAGE!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
