I for Me

I for Me

My Rights end at the tip of my nose.
But my responsibility to defend others grows and grows?
I take care of me. He takes care of he. She takes care of she.
Who takes care of they?
They who stand in the way.
In the way of themselves.
The wallow and delve,
 Into self-pity and blame.
We tend to feel  shame,
And bare the remorse,
Offer the ways and means to start a new course.
But still I care for me. He for he. She for
she.
And We for they.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
