    I Lied

We had all of this in front of us
    Staring at us
    Watching us with haunting eyes
    Making our bodies flinch
    And our breath become shallow
    When we couldn't help ourselves
    And whispered "I'm sorry"
When "I love you" was too hard to swallow
    Between the breaths of pain
And the gasps of pure anger
    That we never understood,
    Now I know about you
And that you're all that I'll ever need
    But you loved hurting me
    More than telling me
That you lost me on accident
    Because while everyone screamed
    And yelled at you
    I watched
    Silently,
    You told me "I lied"
And I couldn't help but smile
    "Me too"

I absolutly love this poem. Feels so simular to what happened between an me and an ex. Whoever didnt give this a nine or ten didnt understand its essence and therefore should not have rated.

Wow! Deep and sad... We all lie...10...

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
