    Little Girl

    Here she comes, little monster
    Of little towns
    With little narrow minds
    That don’t understand how bad
Life is when all you have
    Is yourself with little confidence
In anything but the lies you’ve been told
    About your worth and prestige,
    Here she comes, little girl
    Of little smiles
    With little hollow laughs
That never reach her sparkling eyes
So full of wonder, faked and flawed
When the beatings she gets hurt mentally
    Are too much to take,
    Here she comes, little monster
    Of little emotion
With little ties to the world
    Of little faith
That won't care when her little body
    Crashes down
    With a little plop

Great poem! Reminds me of The Who song Behind Blue Eyes. I definitely relate.

Again, WOW! Iv'e lived as that child...As the little bastard monster... You have a talent for this... Keep on I want more!...!0 again...

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
