I LOOK AT MY LIFE

I look at my life and notice all the things missing in my life

I look at my life and want to change my work

I look at my life and realize am still graving companionship

I look at my life and desire a better home

I look at my life and pray for a new car

I look at my life and acknowledge that am not genuinely happy

No matter how I look at my life

All I see is negativity

I try to look for some happy moments

But I can not move past the things I would like

Finally, I realize

I have been blessed with lots of things

I have a place to rest my head

I have a job that helps sustain my life

I have lots of family and friends who love me

I have a car that takes me from point to point

And mostly, I accept that no matter how many more things I would like to have or change

Am where am meant to be right now

And if am to have more things

They are going to change at their own time

And at those moments, when I feel alone and sad

I should be grateful cause there is someone out there

Who has so much less than me

And I know sometimes it will be hard to remember that

But I hope that with time some of my dreams and wishes

Will become part of my reality 

And my question for all of you,

Do you believe you are where you are meant to be?
