    I Surrender

    I Surrender
    By: Charles Pugh

I surrender I quit its my time to retreat

In this game of war to many time I have suffered defeat

So I wave my white flag to show my enemy my heart is to weak

not one ounce of fight left in me

No bullets no guns not a single piece of artillery

Never would have thought the four letter word love

    would be my biggest enemy

We battle and we battle but finally the lies and deceit

    burry me

Not a pair of hands and arms to carry can’t you see

that love has been unfair to me

I surrender I surrender no longer a love defender

I surrender I surrender and as I wave my white flag

they are taking my heart in a body bag

your view is unique, good write.........................................

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
