I'm Tired

I'm Tired

I'm tired!
Tired of being lonely and tired of being alone.
Tired of all the voices inside my head.
I'm tired of seeing my older face
Where a younger one should be.
Tired of acting my age
When inside I feel twenty-three.
Yes, I'm tired!
Tired of empty arms and empty nights.
Tired of an empty heart and an empty life.
Tired of loving and no one loving me.
I'm tired of my own company
And just plain tired of being me.
I'm tired! I can't stop the tears.
I just need some helpTo get through all my fears,
And these difficult middle age tears.
