IN CHRIST

In Christ

There are times life is on the fast lane
One minute you’re here, the next you’re there,
Trials of everyday circumstance is overwhelming,
The burdens seem too hard to bare.
Yet the fight must go on
Someone must take a stand,
Bruises are a sign of battle,
Defeat, a sign someone lent a hand.
It’s not unlikely that we fall once or twice
Or think of giving up hope;
It’s okay to feel the burn of life
As long as you fight and never let go.
Victory comes with a price to be paid
The hurt sometimes Neosporin can’t heal
But you must look past what you can see,
For there is nothing Jesus can’t feel.
How easily words come and go
And at times hard to explain
Mixed emotions are depressing
Who will help the sting of everyday pain?
In Christ there is an answer
In Christ there is refuge for the weak
Who will surrender themselves from sin
Humble kneeling upon Jesus feet.

Knowing who bore our stripes first gives us strength to carry on. Great write by direction with a awesome witness!

I love how you redirect the pain to who can handle it, Christ.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
