In Winter Night

In Winter Night

In winter night,
All is cold as steel ,
and Quiet as a whipperwill,

Cold, black night,
Getting colder still,
Wind blowing , cutting to the core of our souls

Not a ray of light,
Not an ember of heat,

The cold dark night,
Gets colder ,darker, and deep.

In winter night,
Its almost as Death.
Nothing, but blackness, no hope is left.

A lonely night indeed...

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
