    Journey

    eternal passage
    the fountain leads us
    under the savage head
    totems of sanctity
    echoing the screaming stars
    shattering the sky
    the depths of reason
    clearing the autumn fields
    we wait at the crossroads
    stepping lightly over and under
    with song filled hearts
    disrupting the clover harvest
    distressed siphon highway
    askew in time's stretch
    marble criticism
    left in travel's wake
    we journey forth
    shadows
    can
    not
    die

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
