    Juxtaposition

    Time moves on...
    but a clock stops ticking
    full of hatred
    but why this empty feeling?
    Never fit the fantastic describtion
    of the norms mentioned
    desire trumped by denial
    honest feelings defiled
    mature body
    mind of a child
    emotions run wild
    but I'm calm
    breath...chinese balls in my palm
    rotation to promote relaxation
    I'm screaming in my brain
    but the silence is profound
    I'm going insane
    from the inside out
I want to love her, hold her
    touch her...choke her
    make her love me
but free will was God's gift to humanity
    but what am I?
    but a lowly guy
    dying inside...
hopefully I'll be reborn...but for now
    I'm here and she's gone...

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
